Ibps Clerk 2017 Eligibility Criteria :

Applicants should have check their eligibility before online registration. Applicant without minimum eligibility criteria may disqualified without any further explanation, therefore check before you apply online.


Age as on 01.09.2017 should be between 22 and 28. Applicants born between 02.09.1989 and 01.09.1997. Hence candidates born before and after these days cannot apply online. ┬áSame as other examination relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per government of India orders. SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, Person with disabilities – 10 years.

Educational Qualification.

A degree from recognized university. Must have mark sheet or degree certificate on the day of applying online. Applicants must enter the percentage of marks in online registration.

Basic computer knowledge is must. Should have studied either computer as one the of the subject in college or school or should have undergone computer class.

In addition Proficiency in local language, must know local language to write and read for the vacancies where you apply.

Application Fee.

Rs.100 for SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates.

Rs.600 for all others. Candidate can pay fee through online mode only, therefore no other payment modes are acceptable.

Exam Pattern – Preliminary

The preliminary exam is qualifying exam in nature. Therefore marks scored in preliminary examination don’t considered for the final merit list. There are 100 questions in total and each wrong answers carries 0.25 negative marks. Candidates needs to secure minimum cut off mark to qualify for main examination.

Main Exam

Candidates cleared in the preliminary will appear in the main examination. Marks scored in the main examination calculated for the final merit list. As a result of this candidates must score maximum marks in main examination. Main examination consists of four sections namely, General/Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning ability and computer aptitude, Quantitative aptitude. Test except English Language will be available in bilingual, both English and Hindi. similarly there are 0.25 negative mark for each wrong answer.
